My Weekends... And Movies (Again)
Watch the Hong Kong action pack movie, Invisible Target yesterday. And it was good.
I rarely praise and like Hong Kong movies cause most of them are crap (no offense... but it's true after the burst of piracy that makes HK's movie industry going downhill). Except for the Infernal Affair movies, this one is the next best "cop and robber" movie that I like so far.
Despite some minor loop holes and errors in the movie, it's still entertaining to watch with all the action and acting from the 3 leading stars of the show. The storyline is good, with some conspiracy thrown in, as they need to find out who is the betrayal, before the baddies get to him first (I'm not telling to spoil it all for you). It also shows the contridiction between good and vicious nature of the bad guys, which I'm suprise to find it in this movie. You guys should really go watch this if you need to one good action movie.
And I've just known the fact that one of my secondary school literature book, which I'd ALMOST wanted to burn on impulse long time ago, is going to be release as a movie soon.
Macbeth by William Shakespeare.
In the style of Romeo + Juliet back in 1996 by director Baz Luhrmann, Macbeth is the same "mordern day with traditional dialogues" movie. I still can't believe I actually took up literature back in those days, and flunk badly. But I really hope it's a good show, well....at least better than the book itself... :P
