Dexter And Me

Been spending my weekends rotting at home watching shows, like CSI and Dexter.

Don't think Dexter will be air locally anytime in the future, because of the character's conflicting struggle of becoming a serial killer and yet a police officer. In some sort of way I can relate to him (No, I don't go around killing people with or without motives), but he lacks the emotions to live his everyday life, yet he try to cover up his needs to kill, and the darker side of him by acting and pretending to be normal. You can say he's a nutcase, you can say he's a dangerous man, you can say he's evil. But to anyone who try to live their life in this world, will always try to make him/herself feeling special in some ways, just to be happy.

We are who we are, and we are no saints.

I always think that everyone is this world got at least one dark secret. But the guilt that evolve from that secret tends to make or break that person. For eg, a young kid who shoplifts might be feeling more guilty, than a man who just rape his daughter (I know it's sick, but it's just an example...). From the every daily things that anyone does in his/her everyday life, to the every single decisions he/she makes, that somehow subconciously path that person's destiny.

I like shows that are bloody, violent, deep plots, with dark twisted characters and body parts everywhere.

I am who I am, and I am no saint.

Show's Info
The series follows Dexter Morgan (Hall), an incredibly likeable forensics expert for the Miami Metro Police Department, who moonlights as a serial killer with a penchant for inflicting his own unusual brand of justice – he kills people who truly deserve it.
Dexter is based on the compelling novel "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" by Jeff Lindsay, a South Florida native. Orphaned at the age of four and harboring a traumatic secret, Dexter is adopted by a police officer who recognizes Dexter's homicidal tendencies and guides his son to channel his gruesome passion for human vivisection in a constructive way - by killing those heinous perpetrators that are above the law or who have slipped through the cracks of justice. A respected member of the police force, a perfect gentleman and a man with a soft spot for children, it's hard not to like Dexter. Although his drive to kill is unflinching, he struggles to emulate normal emotions he doesn't feel, and to keep up his appearance as a caring, socially responsible human being.
